About
I’m Ellie, a Chicago native now based in New York City, where I study Economics with a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media & Technology at NYU.
I’ve always been drawn to visuals: either movement or emotion, and the way a single photo can capture a whole story. From a young age, photography became my way of understanding people and the world around me, from fast-paced sports moments to quiet portraits, from travel snapshots to creative edits that feel dreamy and surreal.
I lived in Italy for two years, first in Viterbo for high school, then in Florence for my freshman year of college. Those years shaped more than just my eye for color and composition; they taught me independence, confidence, and how to navigate life far from home. Being surrounded by so much art and history changed how I see the world and helped me notice the small details that make an image feel intentional.
I currently live and study in New York City, where I can blend my creative and academic sides. I love exploring how culture, media, identity, and aesthetics intersect. My work sits at the intersection of photography, design, and strategy, involving a mix of intuition and intention, feeling and structure.
Outside of class and projects, you’ll find me at the gym, exploring a new part of the city, editing photos, obsessing over cars, anime, or planning my next vacation!
